Christmas Cocktails with Class

As we welcome the festive season, it’s time to make preparations for the Christmas party nights. Whether this involves having some friends around or simply snuggling up on the sofa with a nice Christmas cocktail.

At Arbutus Hospitality we have chosen top cocktails which we believe may add that little bit of sparkle to your Christmas.

These cocktails are sure to get everyone into the celebratory spirit !!

The North Pole Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

4 ounces vodka

2 ounces Kahlúa or more to taste

4 tablespoons chocolate syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 teaspoons molasses

1/8 teaspoon ginger

1/2 cup heavy cream or whole milk

whipped cream candy canes and gingerbread cookies, for serving (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

In a cocktail shaker mix the vodka, Kahlúa, chocolate syrup, vanilla, molasses, and ginger. Shake until well mixed. Add ice and shake again. Strain into 4 glasses. Top off each glass with heavy cream. Dollop with whipped cream and garnish as desired. And Enjoy !!

Moscow Reindeer Cocktail

Ingredients

A handful of fresh mint (or fresh peppermint)

2 oz vodka

juice of 1/2 a lime

6 oz ginger beer (more or less to taste)

crushed candy cane- for garnish

whole candy cane- for garnish

crushed ice

INSTRUCTIONS

Fill copper mule mug with crushed ice and handful of mint. Muddle.

Stir in vodka, lime juice and top with ginger beer.

Sprinkle crushed candy cane on top and garnish with a whole candy cane.

White Christmas Mojito

INGREDIENTS

juice of 1 lime

8 leaves mint

1 tablespoon sugar

2 tablespoons white rum

1 tablespoon coconut rum

1/4 cup canned coconut milk

sparkling water for topping

pomegranate arils for serving

INSTRUCTIONS

In a glass, muddle the lime juice, sugar and mint leaves until the leaves have broken down. Fill the glass halfway with ice.

In a blender, mix the white rum, coconut rum, and coconut milk and pulse until smooth. Pour over the ice and stir to mix. Top with sparkling water, mint and pomegranate. And enjoy!
